Pakistan star fast
bowler Mohammad Amir has suffered a hamstring injury during the second
day of the Patron’s Trophy (Grade-II) Cricket Tournament final between
Omar Associates and Karachi Port Trust on Monday.
According to details the bowler bowled 10 over in the days and was forced to leave the field after the injury.
Amir, banned from all cricket along with
fellow bowler Mohammed Asif and captain Salman Butt over the
spot-fixing scandal, was originally due to return in September.
But the International Cricket Council
(ICC) allowed him to return to domestic matches early in recognition of
his contrition over one of the most notorious incidents in the history
of the game.
Now he would not bowl at least in the match.
